Theological Overview

In this verse from the book of Revelation, the phrase "Salvation to our God" holds significant theological importance. The word "salvation" translates from the Greek word "soteria", which refers to deliverance, preservation, and safety. The declaration of salvation to both God and the Lamb underscores the unity and co-equality between the Father and the Son in the work of redemption. Additionally, the use of the word "sitteth" in reference to God sitting upon the throne signifies His sovereignty and eternal rule. The mention of the Lamb points to Jesus Christ, the sacrificial lamb who atoned for the sins of humanity.
