Meaning

In this verse from the Book of Revelation, the author describes a vision in which one of the heads of a beast appears to be fatally wounded but then miraculously healed. This image is often interpreted by scholars and theologians as a symbolic representation of a powerful political or religious entity that appears to suffer a deadly blow but ultimately recovers and gains even more influence. The "beast" mentioned in this verse is believed by many to represent an oppressive and deceitful force that deceives and captivates the world. The healing of the deadly wound and the subsequent admiration of the world for the beast serve as a warning about the seductive nature of evil and the dangers of following false idols.
