Book of Psalms - Chapter 34 - Verse 10

34:10
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Meaning

In this verse, the psalmist highlights a contrast between the fates of the young lions and those who seek the Lord. The young lions, despite their strength and ferocity, still experience lack and hunger. This serves as a reminder that even the most powerful and self-sufficient beings in the natural world are not immune to deprivation. On the other hand, those who seek the Lord are promised that they will not lack any good thing. This suggests that those who turn to God and prioritize their relationship with Him will be provided for and sustained in all aspects of their lives. The verse emphasizes the importance of seeking God's guidance and presence, as He is the ultimate source of abundance and provision. By putting their trust in the Lord, believers can rest assured that they will have everything they need for a fulfilling and purposeful life.
