33:12
And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

Meaning

As the Israelites continued their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, they arrived at Dophkah, where they made camp. Dophkah is believed to be a location in the desert where the Israelites stopped along their journey to the Promised Land. The name "Dophkah" is thought to mean "knocking" or "beating," which could symbolize the challenges and trials the Israelites faced during their time there. The encampment at Dophkah serves as a reminder of the Israelites' journey through the wilderness, a period of testing and preparation before they reached their ultimate destination. This part of the Israelites' journey highlights the importance of perseverance, faith, and dependence on God's provision as they traversed through difficult terrain on their way to the place God had promised them.
