Book of Numbers - Chapter 18 - Verse 29

18:29
Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.

Meaning

In this verse, believers are instructed to offer up the best of their possessions to the Lord as a heave offering. Heave offerings were a type of sacrifice in the Old Testament where a portion of the offering was lifted up and presented to the Lord. By offering the best of what they had, the Israelites were demonstrating their gratitude and reverence towards God. This act of giving their finest possessions signified their acknowledgment that all good things come from God and that He deserves nothing less than their best. The hallowed part of the offering refers to the consecrated or set-apart portion that was to be given to God. This verse serves as a reminder to believers to prioritize God in their lives and to show Him honor by giving Him the first and the best of what they have. It is a principle of generosity and worship that carries through the Bible, emphasizing the importance of giving sacrificially and with a pure heart.
