Meaning

After John the Baptist was imprisoned by King Herod, Jesus began his public ministry in Galilee. Galilee was a region in the northern part of Israel where Jesus would often preach and perform miracles to spread the good news of God's kingdom. This marked the beginning of Jesus' ministry, where he traveled from town to town proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God. Jesus' message focused on the coming of God's kingdom and the need for repentance and faith. It was a message of hope and salvation for all who would believe in him. By preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, Jesus was inviting people to enter into a new way of living under God's reign and rule. His ministry in Galilee would set the stage for his ultimate mission of sacrificial love and redemption on the cross.
