5:19
And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

Meaning

In this verse, we see a powerful demonstration of faith and determination by a group of individuals who were trying to bring a paralyzed man to Jesus for healing. The crowd was so large that they could not find a way to bring the man through the door of the house where Jesus was preaching. Instead of giving up, they decided to take unconventional action by carrying him up to the housetop and lowering him down through the tiling with his bed. This act not only showed their unwavering belief in Jesus' ability to heal but also their willingness to go to great lengths to help their friend. This story serves as a reminder of the importance of persistence and creativity in seeking help and healing, as well as the power of collective faith and support. It challenges us to think outside the box and trust in the miraculous possibilities that can unfold when we bring our needs before the Lord.
