5:10
And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

Meaning

In this verse, Jesus is speaking to Simon (later known as Peter) along with James and John, who were also fishermen. The phrase "Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men" is a metaphorical way of saying that they will become fishers of men, meaning that they will be instrumental in bringing people to faith and spreading the teachings of Jesus. Just as fish are caught by fishermen using nets, the disciples will "catch men" by spreading the word of God and gathering followers. This verse illustrates Jesus' calling of his disciples to a higher purpose, to leave behind their previous way of life and follow him in a mission to bring salvation to all people. It highlights the importance of evangelism and spreading the message of Jesus to all corners of the earth. As followers of Jesus, we are called to share the good news with others and help bring them into a relationship with God.
