Meaning

In this verse from the book of Leviticus, the meat offering that is presented to the Lord is considered a holy offering. The remaining portion of the meat offering is designated for Aaron and his sons as a portion that is set apart for them. This practice of giving a portion of the meat offering to the priests was a way to provide for their sustenance and support, as they dedicated themselves to serving the Lord in the tabernacle. It was also a way to recognize the importance of the priestly role in the community and to honor their service to God. By designating the portion left over from the meat offering as "most holy," it emphasized the sanctity of the offering and the significance of the priestly ministry in carrying out the rituals of worship. This verse serves as a reminder of the sacred nature of the offerings made to the Lord and the roles of those who serve in the priesthood.
