Book of John - Chapter 4 - Verse 13

When Jesus said, "Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again," he was speaking to a Samaritan woman at the well. In this verse, Jesus is using the physical act of drinking water as a metaphor for seeking satisfaction in worldly things. Just as one who drinks water will eventually become thirsty again, so too will those who seek fulfillment in temporary pleasures and earthly desires.
