Book of Isaiah - Chapter 50 - Verse 9

50:9
Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

Meaning

In this verse, the speaker is expressing their confidence in the help of the Lord God. The rhetorical question "who is he that shall condemn me?" reflects the speaker's assurance that no one has the power to accuse or condemn them before God. The comparison of their accusers to garments that will eventually wear out and be eaten by moths emphasizes the temporary nature of human judgment and earthly possessions. The speaker is proclaiming that ultimately, God's support is all that matters, as human beings and their judgments will pass away, while God's help endures. This verse serves as a reminder of the sovereignty and faithfulness of God in the face of any challenges or accusations that may come our way.
