Meaning

In this verse, we see Zerubbabel and Jeshua taking on the important task of rebuilding the house of God in Jerusalem. Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, stood up to lead the effort to restore the temple, which had been destroyed. This act of rebuilding the house of God symbolizes a renewal of faith, a return to worship, and a restoration of the relationship between God and His people. The presence of the prophets of God alongside Zerubbabel and Jeshua signifies divine guidance and support for this monumental undertaking. The prophets provided wisdom, encouragement, and spiritual guidance to ensure the successful completion of the task. By including the prophets, the verse showcases the belief in the prophetic gift and the idea that God's messengers play a crucial role in carrying out His will.
