Meaning

This verse, found in the book of Ezekiel, depicts a message from God to the people of Jerusalem. In this particular passage, God is warning the inhabitants of Jerusalem about the impending consequences of their actions. This judgment includes the idea of losing control over their own land and resources, as the men of the east will come and set up their palaces and dwellings within the city. The mention of eating thy fruit and drinking thy milk symbolizes the invaders taking advantage of the resources and provisions that Jerusalem has to offer. This verse serves as a reminder of the importance of remaining faithful to God's commandments and the consequences that may arise from turning away from Him.
