Theological Overview

In this verse, the commandments of God are clearly outlined - that His people may walk in His statutes, keep His ordinances, and do them. The word "statutes" refers to laws or decrees that God has established for His people to follow. By obeying these statutes, God's people show their submission to His authority and demonstrate their faithfulness to Him. The word "ordinances" is also crucial, indicating specific instructions or regulations that God has put in place for His people to adhere to. By following these ordinances, individuals demonstrate their commitment to living in accordance with God's will.
