Book of Exodus - Chapter 29 - Verse 26

29:26
And thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration, and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD: and it shall be thy part.

Meaning

After Aaron and his sons were anointed and consecrated for their roles as priests, a ram was sacrificed as part of the consecration ceremony. The breast of this ram was then taken and waved before the Lord as a wave offering. This act symbolized presenting the offering to the Lord and dedicating it to Him. The waving of the breast before the Lord was a way of acknowledging His authority and sovereignty over the priests and their service. By offering the breast as a wave offering, Aaron and his sons were showing their obedience and submission to the Lord's will. This verse serves as a reminder of the importance of honoring and revering the Lord in all aspects of life, including in the duties of the priesthood. It also emphasizes the concept of giving back to the Lord a portion of what is received as a token of gratitude and devotion.
