This event marked a pivotal moment in the history of the Israelites, as they were finally liberated from the bondage and oppression they had faced in Egypt for generations. The phrase "by their armies" indicates that the Israelites left Egypt in an organized and structured manner, possibly with their different tribes or groups marching together. Overall, this verse highlights the faithfulness and power of the Lord in fulfilling His promises to His people, demonstrating that He is a God who delivers His children from captivity and guides them towards a better future.
