27:1

Meaning

The verse describes the organization of the children of Israel, specifically the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, along with their officers who served the king in various matters. These leaders were responsible for overseeing the courses of the people, which involved coming in and going out on a monthly basis throughout the entire year. Each course consisted of twenty-four thousand individuals. This system of organization ensured that the children of Israel operated efficiently and effectively, with clear leadership structures in place to manage the community's activities.
